One of Our Latest Projects in a Freezer Environment

We recently completed one of our latest projects in a freezer environment, which presented us with a unique technical challenge.
The client approached us with an issue involving a significant temperature difference between two adjacent areas: one operating at -22°C, while the other was maintained at +10°C.

This problem had previously remained unsolved — until now.

The IPR FlexiRun® Cold2 Door Solution

The solution was the installation of the IPR FlexiRun® Cold2 specialized high-speed PVC door, specifically designed for such extreme environments.
The door offers a range of unique features:

• Temperature control:
  The double-curtain design seals the opening in two layers, minimizing heat loss while preventing the mixing of cold and warm air.

• 100% duty cycle motor:
  Designed for continuous operation, the motor delivers reliable performance 24/7, even in demanding industrial conditions.

• Heated structure:
  The entire door structure is heated, preventing freezing — a crucial requirement in freezer applications.

• High-speed operation:
  The door operates at an impressive speed of 1.5 meters per second, ensuring fast and efficient opening and closing cycles.

• Automatic radar operation:
  The door is radar-controlled — as soon as a forklift approaches, the door opens automatically and then closes again after a preset time.

Eliminating the Icing Issue

Due to the significant temperature difference between the two areas and the high humidity level of 90%, ice formation occurred immediately, making efficient operation impossible.
However, with the installation of the new high-speed door, this issue no longer occurs.
